We are pleased to announce that our Club Kit is available to purchase through the Club direct from O’Neill’s Sportswear. We have agreed on a personalised ‘Clane United’ strip which was designed specifically for our Club and this strip will be worn by all our teams from Under 9 to Seniors. The playing kit (jersey, shorts and socks) will be supplied to the teams with the help of our sponsors, for which we are very grateful. If any of these are mislaid we would request that they are replaced.
Below is a list of extra items which may be purchased if required. As some of the teams have already purchased these items you can be assured that the quality is excellent. The sizes are very generous so it is recommended that the correct size according to age is requested.
The following items are available to order through each team Manager:
- Rain jacket: Black & Red complete with Crest & concealed hood. Available in sizes 7-8, 9-10, 10-12 and 13-14. Small, Medium and Large Mens.
- Dakota Track Bottoms: Black with white stripes down side of Leg. Available in sizes 7-8, 9-10, 10-12 and 13-14. Small, Medium and Large Mens.
- Hooded Track Tops: Black and Red with Crest to front. Available in sizes 7-8, 9-10, 10-12 and 13-14. Small, Medium and Large Men.
- Shorts: Black Shorts with crest.
- Socks: Black with Red Logo to front.

On a Saturday morning not so long ago i observed the greatness that graces our soccer fields at Doctors Road. She drives through with purpose, parks her vehicle and lets young Lampard or Stevie G out of the vehicle. He knows what he's here for, and incidentally, so does she. As Stevie G is put through his pre-match preperations with the excellent coaches so does Mam. She has the same spot congregating wih the other Mams in packs either by the corner flags, at the halfway line or just in between. Talk is of recession or sessions but when that whistle blows all eyes are focussed on the Stevie G's.
These ladyfolk of our club know it all. Their vocalism and gestures are a work of art and hey, what does the ref really know. No one has a bad game at Doctors Road (the way it should be) and there are no bad supporters (equally the way it should be). It begs the question, where are our menfolk!!. Are we being overshadowed by these ladies with supreme sporting soccer knowledge!!. Yes "MAMS UTD" is in full swing at Doctors Road every Saturday morning and long may it last. The final whistle blows, our Stevie G's are tired after their battles and MAMS UTD are tired too. They have been in a vocal battle. No one has a bad day at Doctors Road on a Saturday morning. Congrarulate yourself ladies on another job well done. Gentlemen..........!
I asked my good wife to come down to manzors, have a coffee, watch the top of the table clash between Chelsea and the Pool and sample the atmosphere. Football of pure gile, gut and magic. No interest, "Doctors Road is where it's at" she said with more magic gile and guts. I watched it with the "gentlemen", very vocal i might add!
May you continue to support your boys and girls of Clane Utd.
Long live MAMS UTD!!!

Jimmy Percival has stepped down as manager of our First Team in the Kildare Senior Division.
Jimmy has been a great servant to the club over the past number of years. His commitment, dedication and over all involvement in Clane United is second to none.
In 2006 he managed our 2nd team to a league and cup double gaining promotion to division 2. In 2007 he took over our first string narrowly missing out on promotion to the senior division and losing a cup final to Edenderry Town. A season well above all our expectations. Earlier this year he completed the double with our 1st team gaining promotion to the top division in Kildare and winning the Premier cup - a remarkable achievement considering our 1st team had quite a few barren years before Jimmy took over.
Both as club Chairperson and on a personal note I want to thank Jimmy for all his hard work over the years both on and off the field. I wish himself and his family all the best in the future, somehow I don’t think he will be out of soccer for to long.
Gary Lawlor has succeeded Jimmy as our 1st team manager, ably being assisted by Declan Behan. Gary has a wealth of experience having assisted Jimmy over the last number of years. Like Jimmy, Gary is both dedicated and committed having been involved with Clane United for most of his "youngish!!" life. I know Gary will leave his own mark on the team and I look forward to working with him more closely. Best of look Gary and Declan.
I would ask you to support all our teams when you can and if anyone feels they can help out in any way please contact me. A special word of thanks to our new pro Conor Byrne for revamping our webpage. I think you will agree a job superbly done.
